Coldstore Privacy Policy

Coldstore is made by Setminded (Synergy Software Solutions). Coldstore has no developer-operated server or account. Your files travel directly from your phone to cloud storage you choose and control. We do not receive your files, file names, storage credentials, email address, advertising ID, location, analytics or crash reports.

What leaves your phone

• Your own storage provider: files you select, an upload manifest and signed storage requests go directly to the S3-compatible service you configure, using encrypted HTTPS. Your provider's terms and privacy policy apply.
• Google Play: the app checks whether the one-time unlimited-backup unlock is owned. Google processes the purchase under Google's privacy policy. We never receive card or bank details.

If you use guided AWS setup, your browser also visits Amazon's website. That is a connection between your browser and Amazon, not a Coldstore server.

What stays on your phone

• Storage credentials encrypted with Android Keystore.
• The local upload ledger, chosen folders and app settings.
• Your optional encryption passphrase, which never leaves the device and cannot be recovered by us.

Coldstore sets Android allowBackup="false", so this private app data is not included in Android cloud backup.

Permissions

Photo, video and folder access lets Coldstore read only the media or folders you authorize for backup. Camera access is optional and used only to scan the AWS setup code. Notifications, network access, foreground transfer and boot-completed permissions keep long uploads visible and resumable. Biometric authentication is used only if you enable app lock; Coldstore never receives biometric data.

Retention and deletion

We do not store or retain your data. There is no developer server and therefore no developer-side retention period.

• Local credentials, settings and the upload ledger remain until you clear app storage or uninstall Coldstore, which deletes them immediately.
• Files in your own storage account remain for as long as you choose. Use your provider's controls and lifecycle rules to delete or retain them. Coldstore's restricted credential cannot read or delete your archive.
• Google retains purchase records under its own policy.

Sharing, advertising and children

We do not sell or share personal data and use no advertising, analytics, attribution or tracking SDK. Coldstore is not directed to children.
