Privacy Policy

The short version

Your training data lives on your device first. If you create a cloud account, it syncs — encrypted in transit — to infrastructure we control, scoped to your user ID, and is never sold, shared, or used for advertising. Export or delete everything, anytime, free.

What we collect

• Account: email address and display name (for sign-in and sync).
• Training data you create: workouts, sets, routines, personal records, body measurements, notes, and coach recommendations derived from them.
• Imported data: files you explicitly import (e.g. JEFIT/Hevy/Strong exports) are parsed on your device; the results become part of your training data.

Pre-release builds contain no analytics SDKs, no ad SDKs, and no trackers.

Where it lives

• On your device: the primary copy, in local app storage. The app is fully functional offline.
• In the cloud (optional): when cloud sync is enabled, data syncs to a private AWS environment (Amazon Cognito for authentication, Amazon RDS PostgreSQL for storage, us-east-1). Every query is scoped to your authenticated user.

What we never do

• Sell or rent your data.
• Use your health or training data for advertising.
• Read your data except as needed to operate the service or as required by law.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and common decency)

• Export: Settings → Your data → Export gives you full-fidelity JSON or CSV, free, always.
• Delete: Settings → Danger zone → "Delete all my data" wipes training data. See account & data deletion for full account removal.
• Correct: everything is editable in-app.

Health disclaimer

Setminded stores fitness data you choose to log and produces training suggestions from deterministic rules. It provides information, not medical advice, and never shares health data with third parties.

Children

Setminded is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
